On Monday, February 28, Dr. Kristine Doll of the foreign languages department participated in the first session of the Civic Engagement Spring 2011 Series at Salem State University.

The Civic Engagement Spring 2011 Series is a forum to discuss how Salem State University collaborates with the external community in a variety of ways and areas. The series features three discussions led by faculty, students and community partners who will present their experiences around different topics.

The topic of this first session was Issues on Immigration, Residency and Community and the two faculty speakers were Avi Chomsky, history, and Kristine Doll, foreign languages.
