Professional Biography
I am an experienced business executive and management consultant who has returned to an individual instructor role as a visiting lecturer at Salem State College teaching courses in the areas of computer literacy and information systems.
I have been fortunate to have direct operational management experience in a number of highly successful high-growth software technology organizations. I have launched and developed large professional services and training organizations providing technical consulting and training services to corporate and global enterprises.
As a management consultant I have worked with senior executives in developing strategy and articulating vision for initiatives in the areas of Customer Relationship Management, Corporate Growth, Professional Services Development, and Sales Training.
My personal higher education includes a BS degree from Purdue University, an MS from Indiana University and an MBA from Florida International University.
Professional Interests
My current professional interests include:
1. Raising Computer Literacy through study of emerging technolgies
2. Raising the level of Student Engagement through creative use of Learning Managment Systems(Canvas, Moodle)
3. Development of Web Based Training("Training in the Cloud").
4. Emerging impact of Cloud Computing and Big Data on business.
Responsibilities
I am currently teaching the following courses at Salem State University:
ITC 100: "Computers and Their Uses"
MIS 201: "Introduction to Information Systems"
ODS 262: "Quantitative Analysis"
ODS 333: "Operations and Logistics Managment" with an emphasis on Decision Modeling using Microsoft Excel.
All of my courses are "paperless" using Moodle or CANVAS for eLearning in ONLINE, Classroom and Hybrid classes.
Personal Interests
I am involved(mostly in the summer time) in land investment and agricultural development in Indiana related to my family's involvment in farming dating back to 1880.
