Grad studies tie tourism to geography

A recent article in the Boston Globe, "Grad studies tie tourism to geography" (July 29, 2010) describes Salem State's new Graduate Certificate in Hospitality and Tourism Management. The program will be taught by faculty from the business school and the geography department. It will be the first of its kind in communities north of Boston. The article notes that the geography department has offered a concentration in travel and tourism for many years. Professor Lorri Krebs is quoted in the article explaining how geography is integral to an understanding of travel and tourism. Read the full article.
