Professional Biography

Benjamin Gross, chairperson and professor in the Art + Design Department at Salem State University in Salem, MA, earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Delaware and a Master of Fine Arts from Cranbrook Academy of Art. His work has been exhibited in regional, national, and international exhibitions. Some specific exhibitions include: an International Group Exhibit of Contemporary Artists - Modern Printmaking Defined at the Awa Gin Plaza Gallery in Tokushima City, Japan; the Winfisky Gallery in Salem, MA, Virginia Carten Gallery in Marblehead, MA, Gallery 401 in Providence, RI, The Mangel Gallery in Philadelphia, PA, The Cranbrook Art Museum in Bloomfield Hills, MI, a figurative group show entitled “Go Figure” in Bridgeport, CT, The Essex Art Center in Lawrence, MA, California State University for the “Print Matters” - Invitational Exhibition in Long Beach, CA, and The Janice Charach Epstein Museum / Gallery in West Bloomfield, MI, to name a few.
