Alpha Delta Mu
Alpha Delta Mu is the national honor society for social work undergraduate and graduate students. Its purpose is to advance excellence in social work practice and to encourage, stimulate and maintain scholarship of the individual members in all fields, particularly in social work. Students who meet the following criteria are invited to join the Beta Upsilon, Salem State's chapter of Alpha Delta Mu.
BSW Student Requirements
- Complete two full semesters in the major
- Complete a minimum five courses in the major at Salem State (transfer credits not applicable)
- Students with 87-104 degree credits must show a minimum GPA of 3.50
- Students with 105 or more degree credits must show a minimum GPA of 3.25
(Students will complete 105 degree credits at the point of their final 15-credit semester, plus two 3-credit summer courses)
MSW Student Requirements
- In the regular two year program, students with 45 credits towards their MSW degree and 3.85 GPA
- Advanced Standing students with 27 credits towards their MSW degree and a 3.85 GPA
