Study Abroad Program Providers
Program providers affiliated with Salem State:
Many affiliated programs have contracted a direct billing agreement with Salem State University. For students eligible for financial aid, this agreement allows students to hold off with final program payments until the financial aid is disbursed. However, students are always responsible for meeting any acceptance or housing deposits payment deadlines.
Below is an overview of affiliated programs, and the various affiliate benefits:
AIFS - American Institute for Foreign Study
AIFS awards Salem State University students an affiliate grant, in the amount of $400 for quarter and semester programs, and $200 for summer programs. In addition, there are currently two additional scholarships available for 2012/2013, in the amount of $500 each. For eligibility requirements, please ask the study abroad staff.
API - Academic Programs International
Direct billing agreement. API also award a specific scholarship amount to the CIE each year. For eligibility requirements, please ask the study abroad staff.
Direct billing agreement. As an affiliate, Athena grants Salem State University students $200 off a semester program. For information on other scholarships, early bird discounts, and more, visit AthenaAbroad.com.
CCIS - College Consortium for International Studies
Salem State University is a member of the College Consortium for International Studies. The membership includes various program discounts for Salem State students.
CAPA - The Centers for Academic Programs Abroad
Direct billing agreement. Program scholarships available.
CIS Abroad waives the $50 application fee for all Salem State students applying for a program.
CIS Abroad awards Salem State University students a program discount in the amount of $250 for semester programs, and $100 for summer programs. Other affiliate benefits include direct billing agreement and additional scholarships.
GlobaLinks Learning Abroad - Asia, Europe, Oceania
GlobaLinks Learning Abroad waives the application fee for all Salem State students applying for a program. Please contact the study abroad staff for information. Other affiliate benefits include direct billing agreement and program scholarships.
As an affiliate, Sol Education Abroad grants a $100 scholarship to each Salem State University student that enrolls in a program.
