Center for Academic Advising
Academic advising is the foundation upon which a student develops his or her academic program. Through academic advising, students identify and explore the educational opportunities available at Salem State. Meeting regularly with an advisor, students plan their programs, complete degree requirements and benefit from a mentor/mentee relationship with a member of the faculty or of the Academic Advising Center professional staff.
If you're not sure of where you're headed academically, The Advising Center is the place to go. The professional staff in the center will help you find your educational direction, whether you're just beginning a college career, need help selecting a major, minor or concentration, or are looking for assistance with Salem State's academic policies, procedures and resources. Let the center's staff guide you in academic decisions, leading you to a successful educational outcome.
