What is MaCIE?

The Massachusetts Council for International Education (MaCIE) is an association, founded in 1991, which links Massachusetts public institutions of higher education in a common commitment to promote international education among our diverse constituencies.

Mission: The purpose of MaCIE is to serve the Commonwealth and its residents by developing and enhancing the capacity of member institutions to foster knowledge and appreciation of international cultures and issues.

MaCIE promotes and encourages the sharing of student and faculty exchange opportunities abroad.

All Salem State University students who participates in any of following member institutions’ study abroad programs automatically receive a 200USD scholarship. For more information, please contact CIE at 978.542.6351.
