Readmit Pen

Students who previously attended Salem State University as a degree seeking candidate, regardless of attending another institution subsequently, are considered a readmit. All application materials, including official transcripts if applicable, must be completed and mailed to the academic advising office. Only completed applications will be reviewed. Readmission is not guaranteed.

Applications for admission in Summer and Fall 2013 can be found  here . 

1. Official transcripts from any college you attended after you left Salem State University will need to be sent to the address on the application

 2. If you had academic difficulties in the past (GPA below a 2.0 and/or completion rate was below 66 percent), you must submit a personal statement which:

        •  explains why you are re-applying to Salem State University

        • explains what has changed since you last attended

        • provides reasons why you should be given this opportunity to return to Salem State University

        • provides a detailed action plan outlining your intentions for academic success

If you left Salem State University as an evening student, please call our office at the number below.

If you are looking to get your second degree from Salem State University, please go to the admissions page, apply online as a transfer, and use Salem State University as your other institution.

If you left Salem State University in academic difficulty, you may want to consider Fresh Start.

 

Please note that all student who are readmitted will be responsible for completing the most current curriculum requirement.
