Beth Bower, Special Assistant to the President for External Affairs, bbower@salemstate.edu, ext. 7757
Ms. Bower joined Salem State in December 2007, bringing over 20 years of government affairs and higher education experience to this position. She previously served as the special assistant to the provost and archivist, and director of the Moakley Institute at Suffolk University, as well as director of external affairs for the Central Artery Project. Ms. Bower holds an MA in anthropology from Brown University, and a BA in history from Simmons College. 

Jean Fleischman, Executive Assistant to the President and Secretary to the Board of Trustees, jfleischman@salemstate.edu, ext. 7765
Ms. Fleischman joined Salem State in August 2008, after more than 20 years in public affairs and higher education. She previously served as the executive assistant to the president for administration and special initiatives at Northeastern University, as well as vice president of public affairs at Citizens Energy Corporation. Ms. Fleischman holds an MS in public relations from Syracuse University, and a BA in political science from Boston College. 

Adria Leach, External Affairs Associate, aleach@salemstate.edu, ext. 7524
Adria Leach joined the college community in July 2003, bringing with her two years of marketing experience. Before joining the president's staff, she worked in the Marketing & Communications Office at Salem State. She holds an MEd in elementary education from Salem State and a BA in psychology from Bates College.

Cassie Kao, Staff Assistant, ckao@salemstate.edu, ext. 6134
Cassie Kao joined the college community in October 2008. She previously spent five years in the real estate development and management industry. Ms. Kao holds a BS in business management from Babson College.
