Vanessa Ramos - Creative Writing

Meet Salem State's newest creative writing faculty member, Vanessa Ramos. Currently, she is at work on a collection of memoir-driven lyric essays on the relationship between landscape and memory titled where Gods are Birds and a work of fiction tentatively titled Welcome to Which City.

Her awards include a Dobie Paisano fellowship from the Universtiy of Texas at Austin and the Texas Institute of Letters and a Many Voices residency at the Playwrights' Center. Ramos's play, Cuentos, Stories was showcased at the Waring Jones Theater in Minneapolis, MN.
