Anna Carin Borglin '00, Geography; Travel and Tourism
"Salem State impacted my life, especially as an international student from Sweden. It was exciting and challenging to takeclasses in a foreign language, learning a new culture and being a part of the Salem State community. I am now working in director of sales and marketing at a software company that specilizes in booking systems and online booking solutions for hotels, resorts and destinations in Scandinavia.
At Salem State, I took many interesting classes with dedicated teachers. I feel I got a very broad academic platform to stand on.
I have so many fond memories of the Travel Career Association, the honor of getting the John George Award in 2000, the Geography Department trips to Montreal, Quebec, and Washington, D.C., graduation, and my favorite teacher, Stephen Matchak."
