Have you ever thought of escaping from the daily grind to travel to exotic foreign locales? During the summer of 2009, Dr. Ken Reeds and his wife Marta did just that when they embarked on a three-month long voyage through Latin America, visiting six countries from Mexico to Argentina. Dr. Reeds will discuss his cultural and linguistic experiences, while reflecting on the idea of travel and its lasting effects on the mind. Come enjoy this slideshow and travelogue of one professor's adventures in Latin America!
Dr. Reeds is currently Visiting Assistant Professor of Spanish in the Department of Foreign Languages at Salem State. He holds a doctorate in Comparative Literature from the University of London and a Master's from New York University. He specializes in twentieth-century Latin American literature.
