US Army airlifts ROTC students at Winter Island
SALEM -- Two US Army Black Hawk helicopters touched down on Winter Island Friday, April 17, to airlift ROTC students from Salem State, Endicott, Gordon and North Shore Community College to Fort Devin in Ayer for weekend drills.
Salem State students Meghan Davey, Robert Burnett and Timothy Mangan took part in the airlift while Patrick St. Pierre, Jeremiah Mancuso, John Twinem and David Powers took land transportation.
The Salem State, Endicott, Gordon and North Shore Shorre Community College cadets are members of the Paul Revere ROTC Battalion which includes cadets from MIT, Wellesley College, Tufts University and Harvard University.
Salem State offers both a U.S. Army and U.S. Air Force ROTC program.
