Alcoholics Anonymous on the North Shore
Meetings - Am I too young?
You may be reading this and thinking, "I am way too young to have a drinking problem." Society has led us to believe that while in college you may just be going through a "phase" of heavy drinking. That may be true for some but not all. The truth is, you may already be an alcoholic. Alcoholics Anonymous is a proven resource for getting and staying sober, even if you're young! About 10% of members in A.A. are under the age of 30. If your drinking is causing you concern, or if others have commented about their concern for your drinking, you might want to check out a meeting to see how it feels to you. Each A.A. meeting has a different feel to it. The ones listed below have been recommended by students who have attended them and felt they were open and receptive to their age group.
