Accounts & Passwords

Technology resources at Salem State are designed to support the college's goals. A common architecture serves as an enabler for excellent and cost effective services. We promote the use of Information and Technology to enhance teaching and learning, and provide access to secure, quality, and timely information and online services. Access to the Salem State network and its resources is a privilege granted to all students and current staff and faculty to support their school and work activities.

Email - to get your initial password in the Groupwise email system, you must 'Activate your Account' via the Faculty/Staff link under email. Staff and Faculty can also reset a lost or forgotten password via the same email link. For security purposes, passwords expire every 180 days.

Windows/SSCAD - your network login is provided with an initial password when you arrive at Salem State. You must be listed in the Employee Management System (EMS) to have a user ID and password assigned to you. It too will expire every 180 days for security reasons and can be reset if forgotten.

SSC Wireless network - can only be accessed on campus. Complete the form and follow directions at our wireless site .

Blackboard/MyWebcourses - You will receive your username and password in your Salem State email account after registering for your course and the course has been designated as an online course. 

My WebTools - WebTools is a collection of online systems that help you manage employee data, develop custom content in the Web profile Editor, sign for your hardware and update your Emergency Contact  Information. All WebTools use the same username and password. Click on the Forgot Password link to get your initial password or to reset a forgotten password.
