Mail Services

The mail services staff serves as a representative for the university receiving all incoming university mail. Mail is then sorted by location and delivered.

Correctly addressed incoming Salem State University mail is very important to ensure speedy delivery to recipients. The university is large with many employees, community members, and students receiving mail making it difficult to find a recipient using solely a name. We kindly request you advise senders to include the residence hall or department where the incoming mail is being received along with the recipient’s name and mailbox number (if applicable).

If you are a student living on campus please be sure that when you are requesting mail or packages you list the receiving address as follows:

Salem State University
Residence hall and mailbox number
Attention: Recipient name
1 Loring Ave
Salem, MA 01970

If you are requesting mail or packages for official University business on behalf of a department on campus please list the receiving address as follows:

Salem State University
Department Name
Attention: Recipient name
352 Lafayette Street
Salem, MA 01970
