One of the great benefits of attending college in a region as diverse the North Shore is the chance to celebrate different cultures. The Office of Multicultural Affairs (OMA) is a primary resource on multicultural and diversity programs and services, and assists in recruiting, retaining and graduating multicultural students. OMA is committed to encourage intellectual freedom and inclusion that foster an environment that is welcoming to all faculty, staff and students.  Our aim is to have an abundant mixture of perspectives, life experiences, world views, and cultures in our campus community.

Mission Statement

The Office of Multicultural Affairs is committed to developing and implementing programs and services to educate the entire college community and to enhance the academic success and personal development of all Salem State students. In addition, we strive to improve the overall quality of life for students of color on campus and assist the college in recruiting, retaining and graduating multicultural students.
