How to Get Your Card

New ClipperCard Design

New ClipperCard Design

As of May 2011 Salem State University began printing our new card design to all incoming students and staff members. Your older ClipperCard will continue to work with all the same great functions as before. The only thing that is changing is the card design.

Getting a ClipperCard is simple

Come to the ClipperCard office located on the second floor of the Dining Commons on North Campus. You will need your student ID number and a State or Government issued photo ID (License, State ID, Passport are all accepted). All members of the Salem State community receive their first ClipperCard free of charge.

Replacement ClipperCards

Replacement cards can be purchased for a $25 fee if lost, damaged or stolen. To replace your card you must deposit $25 to your ClipperCash account via salemstate.edu/getfunds with a credit or debit card or at the ClipperCard office with a check or money order. Once the deposit has been made and funds are available please come to the ClipperCard office and we can print you a replacement and charge $25 to your ClipperCash account.

New Students

Photos will be taken and cards distributed during orientation sessions. If you are unable to make it to an orientation session not to worry, the ClipperCard office is always staffed during posted office hours. Getting a card takes about two minutes.

School of Continuing and Professional Studies, School of Graduate Studies and Certificate Students

The ClipperCard office is fully staffed during business hours. Not sure what the hours are? Click here to view our office hours. During the first few weeks of classes each semester we offer extended hours for your convenience. We are also open during the continuing education orientation which is held on specified evenings.

Employees

Employees that have been entered into the Employee Management System (EMS) can get their ClipperCard at the office during normal business hours. Please check with your supervisor to ensure that you have been entered into EMS. Total time needed to take your photo and print your card is two minutes.

Cardholder Rights and Responsibilities

All cardholders will receive a copy of the ClipperCard rights and responsibilities when they pickup their card. This will also detail other aspects of the ClipperCard program.
