Preschool Program
Preschool Program
The Salem State Preschool Program, established in 1970, serves as one of the college's laboratory schools and provides an affordable pre-school option for Salem State students and employees with children from two years and nine months to five years old. Accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) and state licensed, the program is based on developmentally appropriate practices influenced by the Reggio curriculum philosophy.
Its high standards include low teacher-to-child ratios of 1:6, small group sizes of 15 children and high educational and training standards for all staff. We strongly encourage our parents to be involved in the activities of the Salem State Preschool.
