Wellness Center Supervisor

Job Description:

Supervising all student employees and interns while overseeing the Wellness Center front desk operations, including:

Member Service, Programming, fitness instruction, supervisory, and operational.

Specific duties include screening members for admittance to the Wellness Center and seeking physician\'s clearance when appropriate, monitoring and maintaining member files and ensuring confidentiality of member information. This person is also involved in monthly programming and leading exercise classes as well as assisting in the day to day operations of the Wellness Center. Additional responsibilities include recruiting and organizing volunteers for the North Shore Wellness Fair Road Race and providing floor coverage in the Wellness Center.

Required Qualifications:

1. A Bachelor's Degree in exercise science
or related discipline.

2. Minimum of 2 years experience in
fitness/wellness programmin in a
commercial, corporate, cardiac, or
private fitness facility.

3. Current Adult First Aid, CPR certification.

4. Current Personal Training Certification.
(AAFA, ACSM, CSCS preferred)

5. Prior experience with computer
software applications, including, but
not limited to Microsoft Office.

6. Prior experience in the use of
cardiovascular and weight training
equipment.

7. Outstanding Interpersonal skills.

Salary: $16.00 hourly
