After years of hard work and dedication, you’ve finally achieved one of your greatest goals—graduating from Salem State University. You deserve a celebration in your honor. That’s why Salem State is proud to offer you Grad Finale, your one-stop source for everything you’ll need to graduate--whether you will be receiving your undergraduate or graduate degree. All your on-campus resources are here in one convenient place. It’s your hard work that has gotten you this far, now let us do some of the work to take the hassle out of your graduation experience.

Commencement Ticket Distribution: The student involvement office and the registrar’s office will be distributing commencement tickets for all graduating seniors and graduate students who are fully cleared to walk and who have said they plan to attend commencement. Each student receives four tickets. No additional tickets are available for undergraduate students due to the construction project at the O'Keefe Complex, which has reduced the overall capacity in the rink. Additional family and guests may watch the ceremony on the big screen in the satellite viewing location in Veterans Hall on North Campus. The ceremony will also be broadcast live from the main landing page at salemstate.edu/commencement.

Accessible Seating: Visit this table after picking up tickets to arrange for accessible seating requests for commencement!

Senior Week Event Tickets: Join the program council for information and to purchase tickets to senior week events with your personal check, cash or ClipperCard (no credit/debit)! Tickets are available for undergraduate seniors who are cleared by the registrar’s office to graduate. After April 22, tickets are available for all students who are 21 and over.

Cap and Gown: We strongly encourage students to purchase and pick up their cap and gown during this event. Students unable to attend this event should email the store at bookstore@salemstate.edu for information on how to purchase their regalia without attending. Bachelors units are $36, Masters are $68, and CAGS are $120. In addition to cap and gown, the bookstore will also be selling diploma frames, generic announcements, thank you cards, and interviewing supplies!

Class Rings and Personalized Graduation Announcements: Commemorate your graduation and order your class ring and personalized announcements through Jostens!

Registrar’s Office: Staff will be on hand to answer questions about graduation clearance, graduation applications and requirements for graduation participation.

Financial Aid Office: The financial aid office will be hosting SALT, the money management professionals. Stop by to learn more about your student loans and setting up a budget that will work in the real world.

Bursar’s Office: Students should check in with this table to make sure their student account balances are cleared and to ask any questions regarding their accounts. Check, debit and credit card payments (no cash) will be accepted for students who still owe a balance (including the commencement fee of $50).

Alumni Association: Stop by to get free alumni swag and meet with members of the alumni office and the Young Alumni Society to learn more about the joining the society and their senior week event (#salemstate13)!

Annual Giving: Join the annual giving office and the Student Philanthropy Council to leave a legacy at Salem State through the Class of 2013 giving campaign or through a brick tribute!

Graduate Admissions: It’s never too early to begin thinking about pursuing a master’s degree or graduate certificate. Members of the graduate admissions staff are available to provide you information about the many outstanding programs that are offered through your alma mater.

Residence Life: Get information about available housing on campus during senior week!

Commencement Photographs: Essex Commencement Photos will be available to take formal cap and gown portraits of graduates. Packages will start at $14.95 and will be available for purchase online after the event.

Career Services: Visit with the career services staff who will be on hand with materials and information to assist graduating students with any career, internship or job search questions. Private appointments with the staff can also be scheduled here!
