“My Wild Ride from Entrepreneur to Taking the Company Public:
How I Started, What I Learned and What You Need To Know.”—Julie Palen ’89

Salem State University’s annual forum for entrepreneurial business leaders welcomes Julie Palen ’89, back to her alma mater. Palen will share her journey from entrepreneur to taking her company public, a story that includes a sky diving accident, cross country travel and evolving from nanny to president of a multi-million dollar company now gone public. The founder and former CEO of Internoded Inc., Palen sold the custom software development firm to Tangoe, where she is now senior vice president of business development and mobile device management. A frequent speaker at women entrepreneur events, Palen has been honored as one of the leading women entrepreneurs in the world and was recognized as having one of the top 100 women-led businesses in Massachusetts. Palen holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Salem State and currently sits on the board of advisors at the Bertolon School of Business at the university.

Join us for an evening of entrepreneurial inspiration with one the region’s most successful businesswomen.

The Agganis Forum is made possible with funding from the Michael Agganis Entrepreneurship Fund established by Madeline A. ’79 and Michael J. Agganis ’66 for the benefit of the Bertolon School of Business at Salem State University.
