Yesenia Noyola ’12, major: nursing; minor: biology
“I chose to study nursing and biology because I have a strong passion for helping those who are in need. The best experience I have had at Salem State was my first clinical experience at Salem Hospital. This clinical rotation made me realize that this is what I wanted to do for the rest of my life.
The human body is amazing: when we fall and scrape our skin, the body automatically heals itself by using a unique process. I feel that people sometimes take our bodies for granted. We have survival skills built in us the moment we are born.
After graduation, I want to work as a nurse on a medical surgical unit for a few years, and then go back to school to become a nurse practitioner.”
