Alumni are a vital part of Salem State's community. Through their engagement and support, they have helped make our college the vibrant institution it is today. Salem State has over 48,000 alumni living in all 50 states and in 46 foreign countries. As graduates of our many schools and programs, our alumni have achieved success and distinction in every area of society, including the arts, health care, education, business, and public service. Their collective achievements are a source of great pride and distinction for the college.
As we embrace Salem State's position as a premier regional institution, we must also look to the future. We must continue to grow and evolve to meet the needs of our students, preparing them to be the leaders and innovators of tomorrow; leaders with a keen sense of civic responsibility towrd their communities and the world. It is our alumni who provide the momentum and resources to help us build upon our successes and excel in all that we do.
Contributions from alumni impact our entire academic community. Your support helps provide scholarships for our students, many of whom work one, two and even three jobs to meet the cost of tuition, but do so because of the opportunities provided to them by a Salem State education. Your contribution, grouped with those of your fellow alumni, has a compounding effect on the offerings of the college, from study abroad programs and important program enhancements to hiring distinguished faculty and building state-of-the-art facilities.
