150th Anniversary Guestbook
Thank you for visiting the Salem State College 150th Anniversary website! During the school's 150th anniversary celebration the College community posted the following messages.

Howard started his school years at the Horace Mann School and that places us in the embrace of the Salem State College history for over 60 years. We were delighted to celebrate this extraordinary anniversary---not merely for Salem State's longevity, but for her growth and constantly expanding vision of her role in the community and beyond. Special thanks ansd congratulations to President Harrington on her tremendous achievements during her outstanding stewardship. Congratulations to Patricia Zaido who is an inspired educator and spokesperson for SSC and an inspiration to community leaders in the region. Best wishes for the future, Howard and Sharon Rich

The first state college campus based child care center was established at SSC in 1970. John Tierney was SGA President at the time when a group of student parents took over the President's office and advocated for child care on campus. A program was established in 1970 and in 2005 will celebrate 35 years at the college. The Preschool now serves as a lab schools providing student teaching and field work opportunities for students from a variety of department.
